ESL
In an ongoing effort to reach the Nations of the World in our community we are expanding our ESL program to three levels (1,3, & Advanced). Through partnership with Moody Bible Institute's TESOL students we are able to offer a quality class environment.

These Moody Students are in the process of completing their degree and whom God has called into teaching English as full time ministry. These students do the bulk of the teaching and relationship building under the direction of Tanya Hirschy; a local volunteer, who is also a Moody graduate.
We are very excited to bring the English language to the ethnically diverse community we live in. This door will certainly provide an opportunity to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those people who we would most likely not be able to reach. Please pray that we develop lasting relationships with them.
Times & Days
Classes meet once a week on Tuesdays for two and a half hours – from 6:30-9:00PM. The classes are for students of all levels and abilities. It is an intensive 15 week course; therefore we ask that you commit to coming once a week and try not to miss class in order not to get behind. We also ask that you be on time for class each week.
The first night of class will be a placement test. Do not be anxious about the test -- it is only to determine the best class level for you. When you arrive the following week, you will be directed to your classroom for the first class.
Class Design
This class will be taught entirely in English. Games, listening activities, conversation, reading and writing will be utilized. A goal will be to help the student feel more comfortable using English in daily life, through conversations in class. You may already know about various topics in the class if you have lived in the United States for a while or have studied English in the past. We hope that you can share your knowledge to help others learn. We also hope that you will be patient with those who are learning English for the first time.
Fees and Materials
These classes are free, however we strongly recommend that you buy a book so that you can follow along in class and practice at home. The books are available to buy for those who desire extra practice (a student text book and workbook). If you cannot afford to buy a book, please let inform your teacher or the director.
