Urban Immersion Interns

Chris is one of the inaugural interns to our newest endeavor the Urban Immersion Internship. Chris comes to us with a great desire to serve in an environment that is not natural to him but with a great desire to obey God in serving Him anywhere that He would call Chris to go. Chris graduated from Taylor University with a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries, lived in China at a young age before moving with his parents back to the states, has been involved in youth and children's ministries through his teen years and into adulthood, has served in New York City on a mission team, fulfilled his internship requirements for graduation serving at a Chicago ministry in the summer of 2006, and has recently been a substitute teacher in some of the more challenging Fort Wayne, Indiana school.

Chris serves through our children programs by helping to coordinate the after school program and our AWANA Bible club. In addition to that he provides further assistance with our visiting mission teams and local volunteers.

Rob DeLano hails from Buffalo, NY where he attended college and later worked for Habitat for Humanity in North Carolina. Rob and his wife moved to Chicago where he entered graduated school at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Rob brings a heart for justice and compassion to those who have no voice. He currently leads our afterschool program, mission team trips, and has carpentry skills that would make Jesus proud.
