*** The Bank of America Chicago Marathon registration closed in record time for the 2012 event (6 days). This year registration will open Tuesday, February 19th at 12PM. If you would like to run the Chicago Marathon and be a part of Team Family Empowerment it is critical that you register for the race as soon as it opens- the same day. Unfortunately, we have no post-closed spots this year, so you must register during open registration. It is coming quickly and we'd love to have you join our team! Running a marathon takes great determination and discipline. Running a non-profit organization in times like these requires more resources to meet the escalating needs that are facing today’s families especially in poorer urban contexts like ours.

We are bringing these two things together with our own team for the 2013 Bank of America Chicago Marathon believing that when you run with the purpose of supporting a charity you are more determined to succeed in your preparation for running. While at the same time the non-profit, in this case Family Empowerment Centers, can more effectively care for the needs of those we service.
