Supporting Runners

Even though the actual running of a marathon is an individual event, the most successful runners are part of a greater team of people who run with them, provide encouragement along the journey, and serve them during race activities. If you would like to help on race day click here, register for the race you'd like to help with, and specify that you would like to volunteer.

We have a lot of opportunities for you to partner with our runners and be part of our team without actually running the marathon and here is how.

Financial Support

Each one of our runners has committed to raise money for our charity and they need family, friends, and neighbors like you to encourage them by making a financial donation to the charity they are running for. This can easily be done by clicking here to support a runner and follow the on-line prompts. Checks can also be sent directly to Family Empowerment Centers with a note in the memo section stating the runner whom the support is in honor of.

Encouragement

Running a marathon takes a lot of time, energy and dedication and as the runners train they need you to encourage them in their journey. They will find that the preparation for this race will challenge them to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Service

Race day is filled with activities and celebrations and we have numerous needs for volunteers who will assist in pre-race activities, groups to serve our team of runners throughout the race, and then people to serve in preparation for and at our post-marathon celebration
