Youth Camp Support
One of our organizational desires is to see urban children have the opportunity to experience the greater America in which they live. Throughout the year we will create opportunities, through partnerships with organizations that have youth camps and or retreats, for children to leave the city and enter new environments where they will be exposed to new ways of living and doing things.
Our current partnership is with a group of urban churches that organize and run three weeks of camps for urban youth. Kids from the Rogers Park community will be invited to attend one of the three weeks the camp is held. The camp week runs from a Tuesday through Saturday. During the camp boys and girls will stay in cabins, play sports, learn to cook, learn to fish, swim, canoe, and attend Bible studies.
